Namaste. Sri Ramakrishna Math, Kanchipuram, is a branch centre of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, (started by Swami Vivekananda) with its Head Quarters, at Belur Math, Kolkata, West Bengal. This centre was established in 1932 in Kanchipuram, which was later shifted in 1996 to the present location at Karaipettai village, about 5kms away from the town. Along with religious, spiritual and cultural activities the centre is engaged in medical, educational, rural development activities such as feeding the school - going poor children, helping the destitute and poor people irrespective of religion, caste & creed and so on.

At present, our institution is serving the needy as mentioned below:

1. Running nine free education centers in nearby villages for 300 (10 & 12 Std) students, most of them are belonging to economically backward class.
2. Study materials and uniforms are provided for 1700 poor students belonging to different schools & colleges.
3. Educational fees are given to 50 poor school & college students.
4. Food is served every evening for about 60 poor students and 40 old and poor people.
5. Medical service to poor people through Homoeopathy, rice distribution to poor, old, and helpless widows, in addition to pecuniary help, clothes & tarpaulin sheets for roofs during raining season.
6. Organizing Personality Development classes and Value oriented classes periodically for about 1000 students and teachers respectively from nearby educational institutions.

To conduct the above mentioned activities, the Math doesn’t have proper buildings and sufficient funds. We solely depend on philanthropic and generous public, well wishers and devotees. Your contribution will go a long way in the services of the poor brethren of our society.

Our immediate need:

1. Donation for Medical services / free coaching classes.
2. Distribution of Study materials for poor students/ poor feeding to the students and old people.
3. 100 x 75 Multipurpose Hall / Office, Library & Book Stall.
4. Extension of Monks Quarters & Kitchen.
